Louisiana Barbequed Shrimp
Thanks to my friend Julia Laney Clarke for this recipe.
- 3/4 pound shrimp
- 3 tbs butter
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp garlic
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tsp red wine
- 1/4 tsp salt
In a small saucepan, combine butter, spices, and wine and bring to a boil. Pour over shrimp in baking dish in one layer, bake at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Serves two. Serve with French bread.
For three pounds shrimp, multiply by four. For four pounds, multiply spices by 5-1/3, but use liquid times 4.
